Writing a letter of credit waiver

I am currently in the process of losing my job by the end of 2009. I am 6.84 elective credits short of completing my degree and my director told me that I might be able to get the credits waived based on my work experience. I would like some help starting the letter (bullet points) on what I should include.

I can then script the letter and repost for your evaluation.

Thanks
