Writing a letter for sponsership

I was invited to attend a People to People Student Ambassader thing and my family cannot afford to pay much. I was wondering if anyone could help me write a letter asking various buisnesses (Giant, Best-Buy) if i could receive a small some of money (or big Emotion: stick out tongue). Any tips would be greatly appreciated and if you have any ideas, feel free to email me at
