Writing a letter

Could someone(somebody) please check this letter which I wrote.

Work of Art ?



The first thing I would like to inform you, is that art, like paintings, sculptures or other art forms, never really catch my interest. When I was six years old, I made my first and my only painting in of my life. So far my personal experience in art.



However, there are times when it does catch mine attention, for example, when a painting or sculpture is that extraordinary and is worth millions of dollars or it has been on the news, since it was stolen by some kind of criminal organization. The second time you see it on the news is when they are making a movie about this occurrence.



To come back to the point, the status to become a ‘Work of Art’ is in my opinion only true when it is an amazing piece of work, only the question remains; who decide whether it is beautiful?

When a painting is very old and/or is made by a special person like Rembrandt, naturally, this will make a painting unique, but to determine whether a painting is beautiful is something else, in my opinion, this is a matter of taste.



For quite ordinary pieces of art to be labeled as a masterpiece depends not only who made it, since a ordinary man of this time can as well create in my opinion a masterpiece, but also on the originality and difficulty. Nowadays, only the very old classical paintings are considered to be nominated a masterpiece, but the paintings which are made today could be the masterpiece of tomorrow.
