Writing a Journal

Could you correct my mistakes in this Journal? is an assigment that I have to present to my tutor.

This is what I am asked to do:

Write a journal describing your experience in learning English. Include the following points:
When and why you started learning English as a Foreign Language.
Your reason(s) for learning English to become a language teacher.
Your strong / weak points as a language learner.
Strategies that can help you improve your English level.

I started learning English since high school, but as a matter of fact, I learnt more by watching movies and listening to music in English rather that in school.

When I went to college to study to be a secretary, English was a subject. It was difficult because I didn’t have a good base from high school. I didn't graduate as secretary. Therefore, I started to attend private English classes.

Two years after that, I met a retired English teacher. She was very kind and she taught in an interesting and funny way. As a result of this she had a lot of students, most of them were primary school kids. Unfortunately, she had not had the strength to impart classes to all of them, so she asked me to help her with some students. I did it. I loved the language and to teach it.

Even though have passed some years from that, I have a lot more to learn. My weakest point is my bad memory. I forget the vocabulary and the grammar rules. My strongest point is that I never get tired of learning and studying English.

My strategy to improve my English is to practise more and more every day.
