*Topic:
You took your family to a nearby restaurant. You were disappointed with the meal and wish to complain to the manager. Write a letter to the manager of the restaurant.
In the letter:
explain why you were at the restaurant
describe the problems
write about the action you want the manager to take
*Answer:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I must say that my experience at your place last week did not live up to my expectation. That’s why I am writing to lodge my complaints and put forward some suggestions.
First of all, the waiter was not being very helpful. It took a little bit long for us to pick the dishes and he seemed to be dissatisfied with being kept waiting. Secondly, the pasta was very solid as if it had been made days before and the soup was not very pleasant to taste. Finally, we found that the cutleries were slightly stained.
My recommend is that you as a manager reproach your staff so that they behave in a more professional way and take better care of the cutleries. Also, it would be very lovely if you could send us a discount coupon on our next visit to your restaurant.
Hope for a positive response.
Your faithfully,
Johnny
Please help me correct my letter
Is my letter sound formal enough?
I am having a mid-term test next week and I wonder if you could instruct me how to write a formal letter?
Thank you very much for your help<3
