Writing a Capital "Y" - a third option?

Can the capital "Y" be written like the lowercase version, only ABOVE the line in order to capitalize it, or does it have to either look like it does when capitalized on a keyboard, or with that long loop that goes all the way to the bottom of the line bellow it?
