Writing?

I want to study on the subject thoroughly to start my own project.

I would like to know the sentence is grammatically correct and meaningful.

Top answer

I'm just trying. I'd say: -I want to study the subject thoroughly to start my own project. or -I want to study the project thoroughly before starting it.

  • I'm just trying.
  • I'd say: -I want to study the subject thoroughly to start my own project.
  • or -I want to study the project thoroughly before starting it.
  • In fact, I don't remember that I've ever used the adverb 'thoroughly', so I'm not sure of its usage there.

Remove "on".

You might consider "so that I can start" instead of just "to start".

Otherwise, fine.
