Writing?
1. Thailand is one of the members of the ASEAN countries.
2. Thailand is one of the members of ASEAN.
In the above sentences, ASEAN means 'Association of Southeast Asian Nations'.
I'd like to know whether it is grammatically correct to use the article 'the' and the word 'countries'.
