Writing?

1. Some of the dreams can be controlled by certain people.

2. Some of their dreams can be controlled by certain people.

Which is grammatically correct and meaningful? Is it acceptable to use the phrase 'some of the dreams'?

They're both grammatical, but neither is very meaningful. Do you perhaps mean the following instead? Certain people can control what they see in some of their dreams.
