May you help me repair some mistake in my essay? Thanks a lot

Topic:
It is more important for schoolchildren to learn about local history than world history.
To what extent to you agree or disagree?

Answer:

Many people argue that learning local history is more and more necessary than learning world history. With this point, personal, I disagree and I think that They are equally important

In many country it is certainly essential to learn and maintain local history. There are two reasons why I think so. Firstly, in education, not only teaching and learning will help to preserve history from lost in oblivion but also making children aware of the events of their country's past. For example, in Vietnam, students were taught history from primary school to high school. And their grandparents also told about hardship in the war and old society. Secondly, children learn how important local cultural tradition have developed. In some countries, for instance, in the first day of new calendar year, they don't work or enterprise in stead they have big festivals such as 'lunar new year' to look about recent year and prepare for new better things.

In addition, world history also is taken care of and it is important as local history. Firstly, developing an understanding of the past experience other peoples. If you only learn local history , you will not know about process of others. And having harm when you come to another country, you don't know about their history and can not know lifestyle of them. Secondly, when schoolchildren learn world history they can understand how the history of one country has become to affect the history of other countries. For example, researching about history of colonialism, we know the way they occupied almost Southeast Asia in mid-nineteenth century. And today, in this countries, having remnants of historic relic.

in conclusion, for the reasons mentioned above, I believe that learning local history and world history are equally important.
