Human beings exhale carbon dioxide.
This sentence is taken from a school test. In fact, human beings exhale oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide. If so, the sentence in the test should not be written, I think. What about you?

Top answer

"Human beings exhale carbon dioxide" does not in itself exclude the possibility that other gases are exhaled too. Whether or not there is such an implication would depend somewhat on the surrounding context.
