Hi, can someone help me correct the writing below if there is any mistake?

As his daughter manages an Australian scholarship, Pak Selamat longs to see her. However, fate twists his life tragically as she is involved in an accident, leaving him in every parent's greatest fear.

Hailing from a Malaysian modest village, a young woman named Ajar manages an Australian scholarship for tertiary education, and leaves her father, Pak Selamat, in pride. One day, Pak Selamat picks up a foreign call, hoping that it is Ajar. His smile, however, soon turns into tears, as he hears Ajar's friend informing him that Ajar has been involved in a perilous accident and is in life support. As if he is not shattered enough, he soon discovers what every parent fears the most.
