Dear Alphecca Stars, I'd like to know which is natural and meaningful. Thanks a lot.

I don't understand either one, actually.

She surrendered the **** ticket when she made the payment. (She is the customer.)
She accepted the **** ticket when she received the payment. (She is the pawnbroker.)

When the customer could not afford to pay the interest on the **** ticket, can I write that she surrendered the payment? If not, how should I write?

A pawnbroker takes something valuable from the customer, and gives the customer money (a loan) for a certain time period (the term). If the customer pays back the loan plus interest, then they get their valuables back. If they cannot pay, then the pawnbroker can sell the valuables.

She could not pay the pawnbroker's loan or its interest, so she surrendered the pearl earrings that she had
