Hello i’m going to talk about my trip to Madrid last December. The main reason for those days of break was that one of my favourite bands, imagine dragons, were playing in Madrid for the first time ever on Friday evening and had tickets.
My mother and I arrived in Madrid on Thursday afternoon and as it was Christmas time, we thought it would be a good idea to go and see the city center and all its lights because of the eve and I honestly really liked the Christmas tree and decorations and the fact that almost all the streets were full of red and white stuff.
Next morning I woke up early and met my friend Pilar, again, in the city center near Gran Vía. She lives in Madrid and we hardly ever see each other so I couldn’t go there without meeting her. And well, we went shopping. My mum was around there so she was supposed to pay for everything but actually she didn’t at all because more than shopping we went window shopping because sales hadn't started yet and everything was too expensive.
After that Pilar and I met two more friends, one of them the one who I went to the concert with, and we did nothing but to talk all together and walk up and down Gran Via until the last two friends who had to come, did. We all were so excited about meeting them because they live in Lloret de mar and it was the first time we saw them in real life.
Once we were all together, the six of us, and the heat of the moment passed, we went to have lunch at KFC although I didn’t like it at all (it was disgusting, the first and last time I went, definitely). In the afternoon, again, we walked up and down the city center and bought a little bit more this time.
Later, in order to go to the concert, which was in Palacio Vistalegre, we took the underground and I alredy knew how to got there and how it was inside because i had been there once, in another concert, but this time it was even more crowded. We didn't have to wait in long lines to get in, as we had pre-booked our tickets and were numbered.
And, well, the concert was incredible, i really enjoyed it and sang along all the songs.
Then, when it finished, my best friend and I returned to my aunt's flat, where we stay the night, and as it is pretty near the city center, in Delicias, it only took us like 5 minutes to got to Sol, the next day, i thought it was sunday, and we all met again and did a lot of things like taking the teleférico, going to the Debod temple and so on and, by the way, one of my friends taught me a little bit of German, which is her first language, though I didn't remember anything, it was too difficult.
And I think that was all, I returned home, and it was a great weekend.
