There are few spelling rules in English, Aroo-- and most of them have exceptions. English has more vowel sounds than its alphabet has vowel characters. There is no escape from learning and remembering individual spellings.

Tell me about this few rules of spelling Emotion: smile

1--'I' before 'e' except after 'C' or when sounded as /ei/, as in 'neighbor' and 'weigh'.
2-- Drop the silent 'e' before adding -ing: pace, pacing; ride, riding, etc.

Perhaps other members will supply you with more.
