hi im new here i just found this site accidentally while searching for a resignation letter sample.... im really interested to become a good writer what could be the key points to be an effective writer???/

depends, what do you wish to write? letters? fiction? non-fictional prose? essays?

Generally though I mainly believe the best path to writing is reading, and reading with deep variation.

I would only add that you keep a notebook, jotting down things that you see, hear, and read that catch your attention. Put each thought on a page by itself even if it is only one sentence. Once a week, review your notes and think about each one. Let your notes grow by adding comments as you think about each one. This is why you want to put each thought on a page by itself, so that you will have room to write down additional thoughts. Many of these notes will never develop into a story, but some will. You'd be surprised how often you can make a story grow from just a one sentence observation. Some of my writings are based on notes I wrote down thirty years ago.

Rememer, writing takes only a moment. Good writing takes as much time as you've got.
