The three pie charts and table compare total expenditure on fish, which was imported from different countries to the USA during a period from 1988 to 2000.


Overall, the value of imported fish rose almost two times over the given period. The highest share of fish was supplied by Canada in the first year, whereas by the end of the period other countries became the main import source.


In 1988 the figures for the spending on imported fish started at 6.56 billion dollars, slightly increased to 8.52 billion dollars in 1992 and reached the maximum price of 10.72 in the final year.


Regarding the countries, providing fish, Canada provided nearly two-thirds of all fish distribution in 1988, compared to China and other countries, which supplied 13% and 27%, respectively. The contribution of other countries’ supplyies increased almost in twice to 46% four years later, replacing Canada. In the final year, China rose over the period to 30% and other countries became the main suppliers at 42%.
