(Although since Congress seem to think that doping in baseball is more important to discuss than, oh, poverty, education, the war, and Social Security, heaven only knows what they'll take up next as a "federal" issue.)

I know the form write your congressman is well established usage in the USA and I do hear it in Canada, but I also hear, and personally favour, write to your congressman.
