Write up on colors

Hi I have written a paragraph on "Colors". I need some help with my grammar.

Colors

When I think of a color, the very first word that comes to my mind is 'Joy'. Science tells us that when our eye identifies a particular wavelength of a light ray, we can see a specific color. However, for me it is not just an ability to identify a specific wavelength but a feeling of being alive and living a happy and vibrant life. Can anyone imagine a rainy season without the green color? Or a sunset without a mixture of those purple, orange and blue shades? Why would we call it a rainbow if it was just black and white?

It will be unfair on my part, if I have any favorites among the colors but if I had to choose one then blue would be my dearest color, for sure. Just the thought of blue color reminds me of the vastness and serenity of the ocean. I can spend hours looking at the blue reflection of the sky into the ocean.

Colors are not just meant to be delightful for our sight but they do play an important role of identification in our lives. It would be very difficult to control the traffic if we remove the different colors from the traffic signal. Neither would it be easy for the doctors to distinguish between the different veins and arteries. And yes....how are we supposed to make out our national tri-color?

Color has to be the shade of our lives or the colorblindness will make our lives plain black and white.
