A few years later, I ________________ (study) law at university when a friend suggested that I took up modeling. Is it correctly to use present perfect here?Or it should be past perfect?

Like many of my university friends she HAS HAD TO get a part-time job and HAS WORKED in the evenings as a part-time model....
