It's not natural to me. You could say:

"Write down the names of months as I read them out."

"Write down the names of months as I say them."

Oh, and you could also say:

"Write down the names of months as I say them out loud."

Also, if you are going through all the months systematically, it would be more natural to say:

"Write down the names of the months..."
