Write about an issue that effects the world.

A famous person once said, “Money is the root of all evil”. I believe in that quote to the fullest extent. Some say money is a necessary evil, I believe there can be a world without money. Money impacts everyone in every way, everywhere. Money however is fictional, it holds no real value in this world, you can’t do anything with money, physically. Gold once upon a time was used as a form of currency. Gold has value; it is mined from the earth and is limited. Money is unlimited; money can be made from nothing.

The world currently is facing a financial crisis. We are in a recession and it’s effecting people worldwide. Many analysts come up with varying theories as to why we are in this recession. My answer is quiet clear, it is money. No matter how great of a free enterprise and trade system a country may have, it is bound to have problems. Money will always create a gap between rich and poor. As with many countries, the gap increases over time, rich get richer, poor get poorer. This is because today’s system awards greed, corruption, scarcity of resources (The lesser the resource, the more profit). Money holds us back as a species. An example of this is exploration of space, many scientists want to take on big projects, however, they cannot put forth these plans because of the cost. Money is holding back the advancement of technology and the advancement of the human race.

Some argue that if there is no money, there are no incentives to work. In order for one to understand my explanation, one will need to let go of all things learned in our society, forget the educational system, money, corporations and other things. Incentives today include a secure future, meaning a future where you have sufficient clothing, food, shelter and money. This is because if you do not have these incentives today, you cannot take part in society. However, in a world without money, people will grow up with a different mentality than today. They will not think about trying hard in order to survive, they will try hard in order to move humanity forward. So, basically this will create a life where people want to contribute to society in a more positive form.

I am currently unhappy with the way the world runs today. It is known widely that all governments are corrupt. "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely". The reason for corruption and greed is because it benefits them. People know this but it cannot be stopped, even if you change the CEO's, even if you change the congressmen or the senate. New power will eventually be corrupted over time. In order to stop this, you would have to change the system so that this type of behavior is useless. That is the future I hope for.
