With the rapid growth of social media, the way of reading news in our contemporary life has been changing. In my opinion, I agree with this for several reasons. Firstly, social media help us stay updated more easily with just a click of mouse or a touch screen. For example, Facebook puts their news into several helpful categories on News Feed, so we can easily enjoy our favorite articles. Secondly, people nowadays do not need to spend money on buying printed newspapers. In addition, reading news in social media can reduce the great number of trees that we cut down to make newspaper production, so it will reduce environmental impact. Finally, social media help us save time. For instance, we can stay at home and read news on Facebook or Twitter instead going out to look for newspapers. In conclusion, I totally agree that social media have significantly changed the way we read news in our modern life.
