Nowadays, whether homework should be given to the students or not is a controversial problem due to a full of pros and cons. The initial advantage of doing homework is that it will help students study more effectively. The more homework they do, the more efficiently they practice. Homework has a vital role to play in helping students not fall behind their studies. In addition, doing more homework will help students have a good grasp of learning deeply and quickly, which certainly makes them pass their tests with flying colours and encourage independent study habit. On the other hands, teachers usually give students a lot of homework, which takes students too much time to sit in their tables and finish it. They hardly have no time to join outside activities or do some kinds of exercises. Not only do students can be more passive but they are also put under many pressure. As indicated above, that homework plays an important role in studying is obvious, but we should find some other effective studying method for their practicing instead of giving a variety of homework to them.
