I guess both 'write to them' and 'write them' are fine.
RotterPhilipThe only problem is placement. The direct object "letter" should come before the prepositional phrase [indirect object, in this case] "to him".
Why is it wrong to say 'I wrote to him' ?
We say I talked to him.
