Wraith

I'm curious enough to ask whether this word 'wraith' could have some good meanings in any sense in English since its definition is like this >>

wraith in American English (re?? ; rat?h)

noun1. a ghost2. the spectral figure of a person supposedly seen as a premonition just before that person's deathThe reason for my asking is that there is a real Mr.John Wraith on TV interviewed by a reporter on Bloomberg channel. In my country we won't and never use any word that has no good meaning to be our name or surname. Thank you for your time.
