Would/would have

A: where do you think he would be doing now?
B: I think he is playing in the garden now or he would be playing in the garden.(this time is usually a time to play so 'b' says so)
Do the both reply mean almost the same and correct?

A: what would he have been doing while he was with Katrina?
B: I think he was talking to her about going back to his country or he would have been talking to her abou going back to his country.(both mean almost the same and both replies are correct right?
