Wouldn't / Where

0 I don't get it. I have 'wouldn't' for these sentences. After 'where', what tense am I supposed to use? 02br
001. He wouldn't drive fast on a raod where he 01b00didn't02b00 know how long it 01b00was02b00. 02br
002. He wouldn't drive fast on a raod where he 01b00doesn't02b00 know how long it 01b00is02b00. 02br
02br
00By the way, if #1 and #2, are correct, do they both mean the same thing? 02br
02br
00What about these ones: 02br
003. He wouldn't drive fast on a raod where he 01b00didn't02b00 know how long it 01b00is02b00. 02br
004. He wouldn't drive fast on a raod where he 01b00doesn't02b00 know how long it 01b00was02b00. 02br
00For #3 and 4, I have mix tenses, are they wrong? 02br
02br
00Thanks. 0-

00This is in effect a type 2 conditional. It means that Jack (in our opinion) is unlikely to drive fast on a road if he doesn't know how long it is. Using 'would' + past tense makes the sentence more 'remote' – which makes sense, beca
