Wouldn't vs didn't

Suppose

There is something I hidden under my bedsheet, And he watched but I didn't want him to be watched.


I wouldn't want you to see that.

I didn't want you to see that.


Please explain a little bit when to use which one I am confused thanks in above case I suppose second one is correct make me correct thanks.
