I know it's surreal to think of using a text book which had been used for 30 years by at least 30 students but I do know someone who got to be it's 31st owner.

I agree that a lot of what we say doesn't make sense if we examine them closely. A lot of the time I find myself being wary of the grammar and naturalness of what I say. Mostly due to concerns of how I would be perceived and whether I got the message across. But I think this helps me with my English.
