Wouldn't

My politician family in Argentina speeds through every red light possible. And I say:

Police will pull you over. He replies:

No, they wouldn't! Or

No, they won't!

Are both okay? I guess it'd be okay if he added a DARE behind wouldn't...

Shouldn't it be "won't" since it was said in the present tense while I was in his car? Wouldn't just makes it even more impossible, I guess?
