Grammar

would/must

Hi
Please help me with this:

Man's wants are many. First of all, he needs food. It is only after fulfilling this, his need for the other things would arise.

Here can we use must in place of would?

The original seems quite wrong; it should be: Man's needs are many. First of all, he needs food. It is only after fulfilling this that his needs for other things arise .
