Would/did

Hi,

1)

“Whenever my dad made a suggestion, she’d attack him.”

Can I combine these two or does it have to be ‘she attacked him’?

2)

Can I ‘land a hockey stop’ or does it make no sense?

Thank you.

”Can I combine these two or does it have to be ‘she attacked him’? You can do it either way. 'would' ('d) is pretty common in a "whenever" statement, so I'd probably stick with that.
