Would you use "JUST LIKE or "SAME WAY" in this sentence?

Can you please tell me if it's natural to use both these and how you'd say it?

He became a killer just like/same way she did.

How come you can't say

Just like she did.

Can't you use "just like" to mean "in the same way"

as in

I knew this would happen just like I knew that would too.
