Would you structure the sentence differently?

People hurry over to check on the man who's been run over and is screaming for help.

Hi teachers, I have several questions to this:

Is the sentence correct with the tenses and all?

Would you structure the sentence differently?

Is a comma absolutely necessary? If so, should it be placed between "man" and "who's"?

Thank you for your time. I appreciate it.
