Would you put the word "the" here?

According to David Appleyard's Guide, no article is needed for most places consisting of just the name if a person, or the name of a place/place followed by a noun. Then it gave the following examples.

1) Harrods 2) Macys 3) McDonald's 4) Lloyds Bank

OK, Can you put those names in the following space one at a time?

Can you tell me how I can get to _____________?

Would the names be all without the article "the"?

Would it make a difference if those places are known to me very, very well and are nearby my house and those are what I am referring to when I am talking to another person about those places. I think three of those four names are the names of chain stores.

Also, as to the following name, does the article "the" part of its proper name? The name that was written as is "The Bank of Korea."

1) Only use "the" when you have a specific one in mind (a specific Macys, a specific McDonald's, etc). Also only use "the" when both you AND the person you are communicating with know of the location. " = something I would say to my friends driving down the street; we all know the McDonald's we are probably thinking of.
