Would you please proofread my anecdotes ?

Hallo,

I have been writing some anecdotes. Do read it and correct my mistakes, I appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance.

I am head over heels in love with a band which is called Mumford and sons, since I first heard their music. Their beautiful mesmeric lyrics have always captured my thought and their voice could draw me whenever I hear it. I would be much happier if I could listen to their music for a minute or two before I start my day. On one afternoon, while I was slouching over the table and was listening intently to Mumford, Mitchel asked me thoughtfully why I have favoured the band. I retorted him gladly, unaware of the profound effect on this 6 year-old-soon of mine, that I've had a cross for those boys, then Mitchel howled; "You can't head over heels in love with those boys 'cause you are still married to my father. And you can't fall in love with four boys at the same time." Hilarious! Awesome! I giggled and squealed till I fell on my knees. When his father got home from work he instantly reported his discovery, his father rejoined him; "I know your mother likes those boys a lot, but don't worry she likes me better." When Mitchel heard it, he stood in disbelief, as he found his father's statement was so unpalatable.

I asked Mitchel whether he knew the meaning of marriage. His answer was; "Marriage is when you kiss each other's and promise to be kind to each other's.

When we were on summer holiday in Italy, we visited churches which showed the figure of Jesus as an adult. Mitchel said; "I don't know when Jesus has grown up, mom, I thought he was still a baby." I just gave him a small. After that we set forth to France, again we visited churches and this time it showed the statues of baby Jesus. When Mitchel noticed this he said; "I am really confused, in Italy I saw big Jesus and here I've seen baby Jesus. He can't grow so big in one night only. How is that possible, mom?"

Mitchel had been nagging me contantly about him yearning for liberty to go alone to school, and vice versa. I promised him that he would be allowed to do that when he reached the age. When he turned 6, he came to me and begged me for his freedom, so I thought of meeting him halfway. The first day before I had let him go I said; "Don't go astray." The second day I told him; "Don't talk to and accept food from a stranger." The third day I said; "No dawdling, go straight to school!" I kept hammering him. The fourth day, I stood before him and wanted to repeat our goodbye ritual, but he was ahead of me, he said to me; "Mitchel, don't go astray, don't talk to stranger and no dawdling!" I replied him; "Good, you have memorised it. I think there is no need to tell you again." Then Mitchel exclaimed in delight on my complement; "I think you are belabouring the point a little bit too much, mom, and that's way I know what you about to say."

Mitchel had been nagging me constantly for liberty to go alone to school, and I have been denying it.(don't use it here, it doesn't make much sense).
Hi Prajwal,

1. Why using past perfect continuous and present perfect continuous at the same time?

Hi

1. Since you are writing a story here, maybe what I thought would not apply here. Use 'had been' in both the places.

And I also said like '(don't use it here, it doesn't make much sense)'... I am referring to the use of 'vice-versa' here.Hope you got that point.

2. 'with' is the best choice, not 'in'.

3. Ok...

Hi again,

I understood what vice-versa meant. I suppose I should have used another word instead of vice-versa.

Mitchel had been nagging me contantly about him yearning for liberty to go alone to school, and vice versa.

What I meant by vice versa --->He goes to school alone and comes back home alone....
