Hello,This is the first draft of a sponsorship letter that I’m sending out. Would please be kind and review it and point out any mistakes or suggestions.I've removed the name for privacy issues but on the top left corner of the original, my name, Phone #, email address and website goes.I'm trying to keep it short and sweet and all in one page. If I add another word, it'll get longer than one page so keep that in mind for adding extra words or paragraphs.Regards,
Chris

Re: Sponsorship Of Transcontinental Humanitarian Ride
On Saturday August 15
th 2009, I’ll start the first leg of my around the globe motorcycle journey that starts from northern Canada to southern Argentina. I’ll be working with numerous non-profit organizations along the way and it’s a purely charitable expedition. All raised funds will go to charitable causes in 24 different countries for whatever at hand issues that prevail. Besides riding, I’ll be climbing some of the highest and hardest peaks in cordillera as well as exploring various tributaries of the great Amazon River.
I’m writing to you because (name of the company) products would appeal to many, if not all of my audiences who will track this journey through live dispatches from the heart of South America. Sponsorship of this expedition would raise the profile of (name of the company) amongst more (pick climbers, motorcyclists, tourists, campers, outdoorsman, volunteer workers,).
Your generous sponsorship would be highlighted by:
- Company name in announcements and description of your products or services in slide shows, speeches and interviews.
- Your company logo on a public banner that’ll travel the whole continent, also posted on the front page of my website and based on the donation amount, on my riding and climbing garments
- Honest and informative review of your products or services.
- Upright publicity not just at national but international level. Included are press releases to over 300 local and national newspapers, TV stations and magazine articles
- A free booth or table at any public event for your representatives to showcase your products or services. It also gives me a chance to thank you in person for your generous supports
The initial goal is to raise $20,000 in practical gears and cash form. A donation of any aptitude is greatly appreciated and treasured. It’s worth mentioning that I did not pick your company just for the sake of begging, I truly believe in your products and am a first hand consumer. Please join my other great sponsors that have donated so far to this expedition such as UPS, Suzuki International, Dunlop tires and Cabala’s.
I would be most appreciative of a telephone call to inform me of your interest and discussing the donation forms and possibilities.
Yours sincerely,
John Doe
