Would you please check my writing?

Furious from Frankfort regards herself as a soft touch who lets other people take advantage of her. Now she has gotten into a dispute with Sara (her husband’s sister). To get rid of her plight, she writes to ask for help from advice columnist, Pamela.

Her problem started when she advanced Sara $1000 without making a notarized agreement spelling out the details of reclaiming the money. However, had Furious known that Sara was scheming against her, she would never have given her a red cent. Furthermore, she is worried that this argument with Sara would be a blow to her relationship with her husband.

In response, Pamela advises Sara not to behave like a wimp. First of all, she recommends Furious to leave his husband out of this plight and make sure he understands it’s not something personal ending up in a family squabble. After that, Pamela suggests that Furious be assertive and express her statements in no uncertain terms. If necessary, Furious is entitled to take her complaint to the small claims court, the adviser adds.

In the end, assertiveness is the kernel part of Pamela’s advice. She clarifies that being a nice person is one thing but being a doormat is another
