Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Boys ang girls should attend separate schools. Use
specific reasons and examples to support your answer
Nowadays we all live together in this small place, called the Earth Planet. We do not separate people according to their gender, ethnicity, religious views, etc and if we do, then we will be accused of being discriminatory. In my opinion there is no room for female and boy schools in the 21. century.
In the past men and women had different lives, different duties and they just lived apart from each other. All this made it necessary for them to attend separate schools, but it is not like this anymore.
The choice, which school to attend, should depends on your academic interests. It is true that in the military school, for example, the majority of students is boys, but this does not mean that it is a boy school. The situation is absolutely the same with the cooking schools. They are not strictly defined only for girls and as a matter of fact the most famous cooks in the world are male.
In addition the separation towards gender can affect negatively to your social and communicative skills. If you spend a great amount of time only with boys or girls, than you won't feel comfortable around people form the other gander. Most probably this will be an obstacle in your future life, since women and men work together in every company or any other work place. This is why the consequence will be not enough efficiently performed tasks. On the other hand when we all study together, but not separated, we will be able to negotiate with both gender and be considerably more confident in ourselves.
To sum up I absolutely disagree with the statement that boys and girls should attend different schools, since this will result in being timid and shy only because of the presence of the other gander in the room. School should teach us a lot of things and one of them is not to differentiate people according to their appearance, but to their character.
