This bar chart illustrates data on the amount of money paid to doctors and other workers in seven different countries: France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Germany, Finland, Switzerland and the United States for the year 2004.

At first glance, doctors in all seven countries were paid significantly more than others workers. Another notable point is that American workers earned the most in both medical and non-medical occupations. Looking at the details, doctors were paid more than twice as much as other workers in most countries, with the exception of Switzerland, where doctors were paid about $70,000 compared to $40,000 for other workers. In three countries: Italy, the Czech Republic and Germany, the income of the second employee was only one-third of their counterparts’ salary. Non-medical workers earned an average of about $20,000, while doctors earned more than $60,000 apiece.

As for the American doctor, they earned the most of the seven countries with an annual income of $120,000, while other workers had the highest income of all seven countries at just over $40,000, which means that a doctor tripled the income of another country workers .
