Would you like something to drink? Yes, I like coffee.

Is it okay to answer "Yes, I like coffee" to the question "Would you like something to drink?"

I made the question for the mid-term, expecting answers like "Yes, I'd like a coffee, please."

I know it's quite natural in discourse, but I wonder whether I would give the answer a full point or a partial point.
