Would you explain the difference about two sentences below?

#1. I'm happy to pass the exam.

#2. I'm happy passing the exam.

#3. I'm happy that I pass the exam.

My point of this question is about each forms of "toVerb" ,"Verbing" and "the basic with conjunction "that"

Are they grammatical sentences?
I guess #2 is wrong . but I can't explain why logically though I have spoken #1 habitually. .

Thank for your reading.

These are OK:

#1. I'm happy to have passed the exam.
#3. I'm happy that I passed the exam.

#2 is wrong because it could only be said while in the process of passing...and one never knows whether one is passing while in the process.

This doesn't quite make logical sense to me; I can't tell when the exam happens/happened/will happen.
