Would you explain about "cut my check"?
When I saw this sentence , I felt it weird a little.
because I've never seen using "cut" like in those expression"
I guess cut means give.

I've only ever heard that expression used in a business context, not for an individual.

eg Our accounting dept. will cut a cheque for that.
But not eg I owe my friend Fred $10 bucks, so I'll cut him a cheque.
