Writing task 2. What should or should not we do to protect the environment?

------------

The environment plays a vital role in human lives. However, nowadays, it is seriously polluted. This is due to many reasons which are all because of human beings. Therefore, that’s only human beings who can join hands to protect it and solve the environmental issues they cause.

First of all, people should stop using plastic bags as well as any others of this type of containers which do take time to decay (about 500 years). Instead of using these bags, the cloth ones may be a good choice for they are environmentally friendly.

Second, garbage bins should be placed in public areas to prevent people from throwing litters everywhere, such as onto lakes, rivers, or even right onto the ground where they live.

Next, unless we save paper, there will be more trees being cut down. On the other hand, planting more trees helps make our world greener. So the bottom line is to cut down less and to plant more.

Last but not least, the world citizens should be raised self-awareness of these environmental problems. Thoroughly understanding about what and who they are doing this for will help them act properly to protect the environment for their own current lives and next generations.
