Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Would you check them, please?

No. 1

M: I make it a rule not to eat heavy meals before bedtime [ going to bed ].

F: No wonder you have a good figure [ nice body ]. Do you play [do] any sports?

M: I've begun practicing karate twice a week as a means of losing my weight.

No. 2

M: I hear Tom Cruise experienced karate.

F: Yes. He also studied Japanese history for the movie.

Hello, pinkcloud — and welcome to English Forums.

I think : hear + V infinitive/ Ving. I heard Tom Cruise do/practice karate.--This is a different meaning; it means you actually heard the noises that Tom made in the karate dojo.
