Would you correct my English? ( Sept. 4 )

Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Would you check them, please?

No. 1

M: I like to drink a lot.

F: Well, I'm a moderate drinker. How much do you drink every night?

M: Usually three cans of beer. Is it too many?

F: Ah ... you'd better stop drinking once a week.

No. 2

M: Don't worry about it so much. These things happen.

F: Thank you. But I feel a little depressed.

M: Don't let it get you down. t's not your fault.

Thank you. kenta

Thank you.

you'd better stop drinking one day a week.

I wanted to say, "you'd better have a 'holiday' for your liver in a week."

Do you come up with a good expression?

Now as I study on the sentence it looks there is something odd with the verb 'stop'.

'Stop' to me sounds like a permanent ceasure. But here we refer to break (of one day) in the middle of something

('drinikng')

Hence I think is ok: You'd better refrain from or aavoid drinking one day a week.
