Would you correct my English, please? ( June 6 )

Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Would you check them, please?

No. 1

M: I failed the entrance examination.

F: Sorry to hear that. You had a bad luck.

M: I did my best and believed I would pass it.

F: Me, too. But what is important is keeping studying.

No. 2

M: I'm sorry for being late.

F: That's quite all right.

M: The phone rang when I was leaving [ about to leave ].

And it tool onger than ( I ) expected.

Thank you. kenta
