Would you correct my English, please? ( June 1 )

Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Would you check them, please?

No. 1

F: How was your date with Yumi?

M: It was terrible! I spilled my coffee on her dress,

so she had to go home soon.

F: Anyone can make mistakes. I'm sure she's not angry with [ at ] you.

No. 2

M: How [ What ] about going to ( see ) a baseball game with me

this Saturday?

F: It's nice of [ How kind of ] you to ask [ invite ] me.

M: But I'd rather not go.

F: Why? Is there anything wrong with you?

Thank you. kenta

Hi, Kenta,

We don't use "soon" quite this way in the past.

We'd say, "She had to go home soon after," or "She had to go home immediately."

Strangely, we say, "She soon had to to home," but not "She had to go home soon."

Without a point of reference in the past, we assume "soon" is in relation to the present.

(Anyway, that's what my ear tells me!)
