Would you correct my English? ( Oct. 28 )

Hello. I wrote two dialogues. Will you correct them?

No. 1

F: Professor Suzuki. I have a question about today's class.

Could you spare me a minute?

M: Oh, sorry, but I have to go to the staff meeting now.

F: I see. I'll go ( and ) see you at lunch break [ time ], then.

M: I couldn't attend first period because the bus came late.
( Q. Is "the" necessary before "first period"? )

No. 2

F: You should've taken the train instead.

M: But the station is too far from my house.

F: Oh I see. You have to tell your teacher, anyway.

Thank you. kenta
